Instrumental Music Program
Download the Instrumental Music Program Handbook for information and enrolment form.
The Instrumental Music Program (IMP) is a thriving program in our school. The program provides a variety of musical opportunities for children at our school.
There are currently eight ensembles in the school, that cater for a wide variety of students:
- Training band
- Concert band
- Stringlets
- Junior strings
- Senior strings
- Junior recorder
- Recorder consort
- Percussion ensemble
Each ensemble rehearses weekly and perform regularly at school and external events. Senior ensembles participate in various music festivals throughout the year, including performances at the Opera House.
More information can be found on the Instrumental Music Program page on our website or on the P&C website.
The following extra-curricular activities will be available to students this year. These are optional activities that occur outside of normal school hours (before/after school or lunchtime) and incur costs to parents/carers. Some are provided by external organisations (please contact each provider directly for further information). Others are organised by Petersham Public School teachers or the P&C.
