Petersham Public School offers 2 options for Special Religious Education (SRE): Combined Christian SRE and Baha'i SRE.
Special religious education
Special Religious Education (SRE) classes are held from 10:30am to 11:10am every Friday morning. Families may opt out of SRE classes. Students who do not attend SRE classes will remain in their classrooms or attend another classroom of the same stage and engage in reading, homework, completing previously set work or private study.
For more information about SRE programs, contact the school office for contact details of approved providers. To enrol in or for opt out of SRE Classes download the SRE participation form (PDF 229KB) .
Special education in ethics
For students who have opted out of SRE classes, Special Education in Ethics (SEE) classes are offered in some year levels.
SEE classes are taught by volunteers, and the number of volunteers determines the number of classes we can offer. Enrolment in SEE classes is subject to the availability of spaces.
For more information about SEE classes, or to volunteer to teach SEE, contact the school's SEE Co-ordinator, Donal Griffin - firstname.lastname@example.org.
We would like to Acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora nation who are the traditional custodians of this land. We would also like to pay respect to Elders both past and present and extend that respect to other Aboriginal people present.
